FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Answers to common questions about joining FIRST DROP SHOP, selling music, pre-orders, artist payouts, rights, and the Innojative Sound ecosystem.

What is FIRST DROP SHOP?

FIRST DROP SHOP is Innojative Sound’s direct-to-fan music marketplace. Approved artists and labels can sell digital music, singles, EPs, albums, pre-orders, rolling releases, free downloads, VIP experiences, and other approved products directly to fans.

Independent artists, record labels, producers, music creators, artist managers, and authorized representatives may apply. Applicants must own or have the legal authority to distribute the music and content they submit.

Artists and vendors receive 85% of eligible net sales, while Innojative Sound retains 15%. Payment-processing fees, taxes, refunds, chargebacks, and other applicable transaction adjustments may be deducted before artist payout.

No. There is no application fee to apply for an artist or label account with FIRST DROP SHOP.

No. Every application is reviewed before vendor access is granted. Innojative Sound may approve, decline, or request additional information before an account is activated.

Approved applicants receive instructions by email to complete vendor registration, set up their artist storefront, and begin submitting releases for review.

Approved artists and labels can offer singles, EPs, albums, digital bundles, pre-orders, rolling releases, free downloads, VIP experiences, and other approved products.

Yes. Once your vendor account is activated, you can begin creating products and submitting releases. Some releases may remain pending until they are reviewed and approved by Innojative Sound.

You should have your final audio master, cover artwork, artist name, track title, featured-artist information, songwriter credits, producer credits, executive producer information when applicable, release date, pricing, and any required rights or licensing details.

Yes. FIRST DROP SHOP supports a 45-second preview, and the artist can choose where that preview begins within the track.

No. The preview player is separate from the purchased master file. Fans receive the full downloadable release only when they are entitled to it through a purchase, free download, preorder unlock, or scheduled release.

Fans can purchase an album before its official release date. The order stays connected to the customer’s account, and the full album becomes available automatically when the scheduled release date arrives.

A rolling release lets an artist unlock individual album tracks at different times. A track can be available instantly with the preorder, scheduled for an early release, or held until the full album release date.

Yes. Artists can use free downloads as promotional releases. Fans still complete a $0 order so the download can be tracked through FIRST DROP SHOP.

Yes. Artists can designate certain tracks as instant preorder bonuses or schedule specific tracks to unlock early for customers who already purchased the album.

Yes. FIRST DROP SHOP can send release notifications when scheduled preorder tracks become available, so customers know when new music has been added to their purchase.

Artists and labels retain ownership or control of the music they submit. Innojative Sound only needs the rights necessary to display, promote, preview, sell, and deliver approved products through FIRST DROP SHOP, subject to the artist/vendor agreement.

FIRST DROP SHOP is intended to operate on a non-exclusive basis unless a separate written agreement states otherwise. Artists can continue distributing and selling their music through other platforms.

Yes, as long as you have the necessary commercial license, ownership rights, or written permission from the producer or rights holder.

Yes. A release may be suspended or removed for copyright complaints, fraudulent activity, inaccurate ownership claims, policy violations, chargeback abuse, prohibited content, or other violations of the artist/vendor agreement.

FIRST DROP SHOP currently issues artist/vendor payouts monthly, generally by the 15th of the following month. Approved artists receive 85% of eligible net sales after applicable processing fees, taxes, refunds, chargebacks, and other transaction adjustments. A $25 minimum payout balance may apply; balances below the minimum roll forward to the next payout period. Payout schedules may become more frequent as automated payment options are introduced.

Yes. Approved artists may offer VIP experiences, exclusive bundles, premium releases, and other special products, subject to review by Innojative Sound.

FIRST DROP SHOP is designed around customer accounts so purchases, pre-orders, rolling releases, and future downloads stay connected to the customer. Customers should create or use an account during checkout.

Eligible purchases remain connected to the customer’s account, allowing the customer to access available downloads again through My Account, subject to product and download permissions.

Digital music purchases are generally final once the downloadable content has been delivered or accessed. Refunds may be approved for duplicate purchases, technical delivery problems that cannot be resolved, incorrect products, unauthorized transactions, cancelled releases, or other approved exceptions. Pre-orders may be cancelled before any preorder-exclusive content has been delivered; once an instant or early-release track has been made available, the preorder is generally non-refundable.

Certain details such as artwork, metadata, pricing, and release information may be updated. Changes involving downloadable files, pre-orders, track IDs, or existing customer permissions should be handled carefully to avoid disrupting previous purchases.

Artists may request removal of their releases, subject to any outstanding customer orders, contractual obligations, refund issues, or other requirements in the artist/vendor agreement.
